Bob's Bootcamp starts tomorrow.
Saturday morning and Tuesday night.
One hour of intense training, combined with food tracking and challenging spiritual elements.
I enter tomorrow where I was at the start of 2010.
Without details, let's just say, "Not good."
Here's the bright side. Within six weeks of 01.01.10 I was in the best shape of my life, literally.
That was not a high bar to cross. I was never in great shape. I never did sports. Ran occasionally, that was it. Still, within six weeks I felt better than ever.
Since 2010 I've slid, and you know what? I'm glad I did.
There are a gazillion spiritual analogies to be gleaned through a fall from fitness. These are truth I would not have learned any other way.
I understand so much more about life with God through life with food and fitness.
I wish I hadn't slid. I'd rather be building on past progress, but I'm not.
Truth #1: Start where you are, not where you were or where you want to be. I'm ready to accept where I am. It's time to start to climb again.
I have four month til 50. Gives me a goal...
Fully fit by 50!
I am ready, ready to kick it and be kicked!
Even got some new shoes.
Last meal tonight? Tacos, homemade chips and a cold pop.
I am where I am, but I'm serving notice...I am not staying here anymore. It's time to move.
